gained fame as a member the cast of Saturday Night Live. After the show,
Ferrell appeared in a variety of other comedies on the big screen, including
'Elf,’ "Anchormacan," and "Talladega Nights. In 1967, in Irvine, California,
Will Ferrell launched his career in comedy by being a part of the Los
Angeles-based improv group the Groundlings. The seven-year stint as Saturday
Night Live's cast member made him one of the biggest comedy stars in the world
of film. He became known for his off-color films such as Anchorman The Legend
of Ron Burgundy (2004) and Old School (2003). Ferrell co-founded Funny or Die
video streaming service. He also had success as a voice actor in animated
features like Megamind (2010). John William Ferrell is a California native, who
was born in Irvine on the 16th of July 1967. Will Ferrell was the eldest of Lee
Ferrell, Righteous Brothers keyboardists, as well as Kay Ferrell. As a
University High School student, Ferrell was far from a class clown. He was calm
and studious, but he chose to be a football player and set records for his
school in terms of the highest number of field goals made. Even in the more
comfortable confines of his suburban residence, Ferrell displayed little of the
outrageous, humorous bursts that would later define his career.
